You know how they said Korasi's overpowered? Dharok's was the same however it was overpowered. Absolutely overpowered, indeed. It's logical that OSRS gold it'd be nerfed to any other Barrows equipment.
You don't understand it, Jagex doesn't understand the concept behind a nerf. The purpose of a nerf is to prevent something from being overwhelmed and then return it to a level where it is acceptable, they have made dharoks another generic set of level 70 gear that is unnecessary in comparison with Veracs. Jagex needs to stop turning usable content into useless content. Barrows is only one release of becoming obsolete in the manner it stands.
It's not because they don't know how they can nerf something . It's the problem with the system of tiers. It's an HORRIBLE idea. For those who have not realized, almost all guns and armour is now scaled using an incredibly simple, direct correlation with the level of requirement. This results in the loss of all originality of weapons or armour.
Things like Korasi or Royal crossbow which had specific uses are now reduced to merely generic weapons. Ganodermic can no longer be contrasted with Virtus by comparing better defense and soak or more lifeboost and offense: Virtus is now simply "better by five levels."
Don't even try to make an argument in favor of passive effects or a small amount of crit bonus - excluding cost, there's never a reason to choose lower level items even if you have access to more advanced versions.
So, I've recently made the decision to play again. I've got three to four accounts from the past, each associated with one or two of my maybe four or five emails.. I had more but I deleted them some time ago.. Hoping none of those emails were for buy RS gold my higher level accounts however, I digress.
