It was a mess as players tried to sell their items in the event that their value fell, trying to recover losses since the market was overwhelmed.
FUT Hero items are extremely rare and therefore valuable. They are each associated with a footballer who's played a a significant contribution to the club or is a favorite among fans because of one reason or another. Then, when EA mistakenly released a pack with a trading Hero item for a low price of the 25,000 FUT coins, the market was struck by an abundance of cheap Heroes leading to it to fall and wipe out any value that was supposed to be attached to the more expensive items.
The players who had held onto rare Heroes started selling them after seeing prices fall which threw sparks into the fire. This is understandable, though, considering some rare Hero items can be worth hundreds of dollars in real-world value in the event of sale on third-party platforms.
The mistake has been rectified and the pack was made running for about 25 mins but the damage had been done. EA has yet to comment regarding the issue, and although the market is beginning to rebound, the loss appears to be irreparable, and it remains to
