Cat's claw (scientific name: Ranunculus ternatus Thunb.) is an annual herb of the Ranunculus family, Ranunculus genus. Clusters of numerous fleshy small tuberous roots, ovoid or fusiform, with hard tops, shaped like cat's claws, 3-5 mm in diameter. Distributed in China's Guangxi, Taiwan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Anhui, Hubei, Henan and other provinces. The root tuber is used medicinally, orally or externally, to disperse knots and eliminate blood stasis, and treat lymph node stenosis.
