Diablo IV, the next game in the series was

Although the game doesn't have an a specific release date or even a release timeframe, it seems fans will have to wait a bit longer before returning to Sanctuary. Blizzard informs us that to ensure stability of servers at the time of launch, the game's inaugural ladder season will commence within a few hours of the game's release but will not be available the first day.
